Failed to deliver Farmer Focus chicken to Main Street Market, Charlottesville, VA

Customer service rep was very nice, but Albert's rigid policies exclude or make it difficult for small stores to keep in stock highly desirable perishable items, as in this case, Farmer Focus chicken. PISSED OFF store customer looking at empty meat counter until next week (or longer if the store can't meet it's quota). I'm sure Albert's delivers to other stores close by -- no big deal, right?

UNPROFESSIONAL & INEXPERIENCED IDIOTS

WORST DISTRIBUTION COMPANY OUT THERE, it truly amazes me how most of these people keep their jobs! Being the owner of a sucessfully growing small beverage brand that has partnered with this team has been nothing short of a roller coaster of a ride. No communication from the any of the sales team, they apparently do not like to answer the phone or answer emails!! Very upsetting to deal with such a lack of professionalism from such a big company! BIG SHOUT OUT TO Jacqueline Gormley - Channel account manager /Alberts East - im dumbfounded as to how this girl has a position, for lack of better words she is useless and has cost my company millions of dollars.. PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN CHOOSING A DISTRIBUTOR, THESE PEOPLE ARE NOT EXPERIENCED AND UNPROFESSIONAL!

Who needs Sugar in Beef Jerky?

I am so tired of people putting sugar in everyting! Shame on me for not reading the ingedient list on Grateful Harvest Organic Beef Jerky before buying it - organic evaporated cane sugar is the second ingredient. If I wanted a cookie I'd have eatten a cookie. I wanted to taste beef but most of what I got was a sugar sweetness. The texture of the beef is mushy also, which I attributed to the coating of sugar on it. 5g of sugar per serviving for 11g of protein is not a good investment. Orgnic is good, but this product was a total waste of money. I really do not like to throw food away, but each time a I a piece or two I could feel my teeth getting coated with sugar so I finally gave up and threw the rest of the package away. It was the worst Jerky I've ever had.

Albert's Organics Charlotte, NC

I have been an Albert's Organics customer for several years--they opened their location in Charlotte, NC about 3 years ago and since that time I have consistently received poor service. My deliveries are late more frequently than not, my delivery day has changed 6 times in 2 years and the overall quality of product has been poor.

Customer Service for this company is laughable--I have called numerous times and spoken with the warehouse manager, Dan, and gotten the run around and no flexibility whatsoever in times, days, or an explanation as to why my order comes to me a day or 2 late--this has happened 3 times on a busy holiday week and the amount of sales I have lost is significant as is the shrink I have suffered because of this (I have had to throw away products I was unable to sell do to the late delivery). What amazes me as their ability to delivery to the large chain stores but if there is a delay there it is shrugged off and those of us who run smaller independent businesses are who suffer. Additionally the sales staff is less than knowlegeable when they attempt to upsell me on a new product and offer little to know incentive-guarenteed sales are all well and good but I still need to purchase the product and then wait on a credit if it does not sell.

Finally, several months ago I spoke with Ron the business manager and asked that he assign a different sales rep to me as the young woman I dealt with never returned a phone call and was generally pretty abrupt when I did speak to her (unless she was calling for an order).

The man I spoke to most often in her absence was always professional, courteous, and willing to work with me whatever my needs were and he was gone the next time I called--why is it that a company like this seems to think that a small natural food store owner is a little short upstairs, they get rid of good people and keep/replace with the hard sell? I am currently in the process of switching to another distributor and letting as many people (my customers and other business owners) know the reason why--we should all try and make them listen to us by hitting them in the only place they care about--the pocker book.

I see that this is an older post but little appears to have changed

I finally got so frustrated with Albert's for the poor service: constant changing of delivery days, whining about not being able to park (we arranged for a key drop to accommodate them, and still they could never seem to communicate that to their drivers on a regular basis and/or provide them with keys, resulting in those drivers wondering what the *** was going on), sending out of date or about to be out of date items, and, worst of all, being the ONLY distributor we work with who, when I had placed an order that did not reach minimum because of THEIR fault -- the items I wanted being out of stock -- again -- would not deliver to me, and then, on top of all that, not responding to any of the concerns I expressed, that I decided to just dump them. I had complained to my sales representative and received absolutely no response, and he is still sending me price lists, apparently not even noticing that we are not placing any orders.

I sent an email to the president, telling him what I was doing and why, and received no response from him, either. It's really too bad, as we liked the products, but enough is enough!

We are having a similar experience. We have instructed them on many occasions what time we close and that the delivery needs to come at least a half hour prior to closing, yet they often show up after closing time.

The delivery guys don't even try to help bring things in. I'm not asking them to stock shelves, just get things inside. All other companies I deal with take everything off their truck and put it right on our shelves.

We're in the process of trying to find another company. Please let me know if you have suggestions.
